"Parents' Allowance Stress"... Burdensome Chuseok Holiday
One out of two adults ahead of the Chuseok holiday feels burdened by preparing gifts and pocket money for their parents and relatives.
According to a survey released on the 17th by SK Communications' current affairs poll service 'NateQ,' 52% of respondents cited 'gifts and pocket money for parents and relatives' as the reason why the Chuseok holiday is burdensome. This was followed by 22% for preparing holiday food and 10% for stress during the trip home.

Looking at the responses by gender, there was a difference between men and women. 26% of women cited preparing holiday food as a reason why Chuseok is burdensome. In particular, 46% of women aged 60 and over felt this way. On the other hand, only 10% of male respondents felt burdened by food preparation.
