View original imageDaejeon City and the Daejeon Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency announced that the '2024 6th Daejeon Special FX Festival' will be held for three days from the 20th to the 22nd at KAIST and various locations in the original downtown area.
Celebrating its 6th year, the Daejeon Special FX Festival began in 2019 as the Daejeon Visual Art Tech Awards and has been held under its current name since 2023.
The festival will feature a variety of programs, including a red carpet event, Special FX Awards (11 winners in 6 technical categories and 9 winners in 6 acting categories), a public screening with GV commentary, special effects experience zones, symposiums, and OST cover performances.
Notably, several acclaimed works and artists, such as 'Pamyo' and 'Hijacking,' have been nominated for awards, promising fierce competition.
Noh Kisoo, Director of Culture, Arts, and Tourism at Daejeon City, stated, "The Special FX Festival is an important event that demonstrates Daejeon City's commitment to fostering the convergence special effects content industry. We will do our best to successfully establish the convergence special effects cluster currently being planned and attract related companies."
