Yeongju Public Health Center Wins Top Prize at Disaster Emergency Medical Simulation Training Competition
Achievement Following Two Consecutive Excellence Awards... Selected as Gyeongbuk Representative
Yeongju City Public Health Center in North Gyeongsang Province received the top prize at the "2024 North Gyeongsang Province Public Health Center Rapid Response Team Simulation Training Competition."
With this award, the city health center achieved a remarkable feat by winning the top prize this year, following two consecutive excellence awards in 2022 and 2023.
The competition was held on the 6th at the Yecheon Complex Community Center, hosted by North Gyeongsang Province and organized by the North Gyeongsang Emergency Medical Support Center.
Rapid response teams from 23 city and county public health centers in North Gyeongsang Province participated in the competition, which evaluated their capabilities in operating on-site emergency medical stations during disaster situations involving multiple casualties.
The city health center, with a rapid response team of seven members including Director Kim Moonsu, nurses, and administrative staff, achieved the top prize in the comprehensive evaluation.
Having received the top prize, Yeongju City Public Health Center will represent North Gyeongsang Province at the "Comprehensive Disaster Medical Training Competition" hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, with participation from cities and provinces nationwide.

Director Kim Moonsu stated, "We will do our utmost to further enhance our on-site response capabilities through continuous disaster preparedness training and education, so that we can take responsibility for the lives and safety of our citizens."
