Yongin City Provides Special Holiday Support of 100,000 Won to Low-Income Families
Utilizing Designated Donations... Targeting 2,000 Households
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 10th that it will provide 100,000 KRW in Chuseok holiday expenses to 2,000 low-income vulnerable households in the region ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The city decided to provide the support funds to ease the economic burden of low-income families before the Chuseok holiday and help them have a warm holiday. The total support fund of 200 million KRW was prepared from donations designated to Yongin City by the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest.
The support targets are 2,000 low-income households with an income below 120% of the median income standard. The Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest will deposit the support funds into the accounts of the recipients recommended by each eup, myeon, and dong by the 11th.

A city official said, "We decided to provide Chuseok holiday expenses to low-income vulnerable groups who have difficulties preparing for the holiday due to economic burdens," adding, "We hope this support will help neighbors in need have a joyful holiday."
