Benz Crashes into Yangsan Shopping District ... Driver in His 50s Claims "Sudden Acceleration"

At around 7:24 a.m. on the 9th, a Mercedes-Benz sedan crashed into a store near an apartment complex in Mulgumeup, Yangsan-si, Gyeongnam.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Department, the driver, a woman in her 50s, sustained minor injuries such as back pain but managed to escape the vehicle on her own.
There were no serious casualties, as no one was inside the store at the time of the crash.
The driver was neither intoxicated nor unlicensed, and reportedly claimed, "I was trying to make a right turn, but the brakes didn't work," insisting that the car suddenly accelerated.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident based on nearby closed-circuit (CC) TV footage and other evidence.
