Submission of Petition for Disclosure of Personal Information and Request for Severe Punishment by Bereaved Family in 'Eunpyeong-gu Murder Case'
The bereaved family of the victim who was killed by a neighbor wielding a weapon in front of the main gate of an apartment in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, has submitted a petition to the prosecution requesting the disclosure of the perpetrator's identity and severe punishment.
On the 9th, Nam Eon-ho Vincent, a lawyer from Vincent Law Office representing the bereaved family of the victim in the Eunpyeong-gu murder case, explained the petition for the disclosure of the suspect Baek's (37) identity and the petition for severe punishment at around 11:30 a.m. at the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office.

Nam Eon-ho, a lawyer from Vincent Law Office representing the bereaved family of the victim in the Eunpyeong-gu murder case, submitted a petition for the disclosure of the suspect Baek (37) and a request for severe punishment to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office at around 11:30 a.m. on the 9th.
Lawyer Nam stated, "It has been just over two months since the incident occurred, yet the perpetrator's identity has not been revealed, which is incomprehensible from the bereaved family's perspective," adding, "So far, we have not received any apology or intention to settle from the perpetrator's family or relatives. We are submitting about 9,700 petitions requesting severe punishment."
When asked whether it was confirmed that the suspect's father posted comments defending his son's crime, Lawyer Nam explained, "The defendant's personal information and social life were described in considerable detail, and a reporter received a response stating that 'he is the biological father and that his son committed this crime to eliminate a Chinese spy for the sake of justice and public interest.'"

Earlier, on the 5th, the Seoul Western Police Station announced that they had booked Baek's father, the suspect in the 'Eunpyeong-gu apartment murder case,' on charges of defamation of the deceased and are currently investigating.
