Changwon Mayor Hong Nam-pyo Vows Full Support for Rapid Restoration of Masan Wholesale Market
On the morning of the 4th, Changwon Special City Mayor Hong Nam-pyo visited the Masan Fish Market's fruit and vegetable market to inspect the fire site and assess the damage.

View original imageThe fire broke out at around 10:12 p.m. on the 3rd in a warehouse near the fruit and vegetable market in the Masan Fish Market area.
Thanks to the prompt response of the Masan Fire Station's initial response team, the fire did not spread to the densely packed Masan Fish Market. However, out of 28 stores in the fruit and vegetable market, 15 were partially destroyed and 13 suffered some fire damage. Some residents of a nearby officetel evacuated, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
Mayor Hong Nam-pyo thoroughly inspected the fire site and instructed officials to explore support measures for the swift recovery of the affected stores.
Mayor Hong stated, "We will mobilize all available resources to minimize damage from the fire and ensure the safety of residents," adding, "We will provide further details on additional support measures and recovery plans at a later date."
