Before attending the '2nd Korea-U.S.-Japan Economic Dialogue (TED)' held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Jung conveyed this position to reporters.
Among domestic shipbuilders, Hanwha Ocean was the first to secure MRO orders. Recently, it won a maintenance contract for a naval auxiliary ship from the U.S. Navy, and on the 2nd, the 'Wally Schirra' docked at Hanwha Ocean's Geoje facility.
Regarding HD Hyundai's differentiated business competitiveness, Vice Chairman Jung confidently responded, "We do well," expressing confidence that even if they join the U.S. naval vessel MRO business later than Hanwha, they can fully make up for it.
