MOU Between Hwaseong Osan Office of Education and Office of Assemblyman Kwon Chil-seung
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is promoting a plan to utilize the site of Jin'an Middle School, scheduled to relocate before 2029, as a facility for local residents.
On the 3rd, Hwaseong City signed a business agreement for the 'Utilization of Jin'an Middle School Site and Facilities' at Hwaseong Citizen University, attended by Jeong Myeong-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong, Jeong Gwang-yoon, Director of Hwaseong-Osan Office of Education, and Kwon Chil-seung, member of the Democratic Party of Korea.

This business agreement follows the decision to relocate Jin'an Middle School, located at 857-1 Jin'an-dong, to the nearby Hwaseong Beolmal Elementary School site by 2029. Through this agreement, each institution will seek ways to provide the existing school site and facilities as beneficial and efficient spaces for local residents.
Previously, the Hwaseong-Osan Office of Education conducted a survey regarding the redistribution of students in the Byeongjeom area in response to changes in the school-age population. With the majority of parents in favor, Hwaseong Beolmal Elementary School will be relocated to the Neungdong 1 Elementary School (tentative name) site, and Jin'an Middle School, which has a low number of students and is located in the northern part of the Byeongjeom area, will be relocated to the Hwaseong Beolmal Elementary School site. Currently, the Byeongjeom area is a region where student redistribution has been decided to improve educational quality by resolving imbalances between elementary and middle schools, addressing long-distance commuting issues, ensuring equitable student distribution within the middle school district, and fostering appropriately sized schools.
