KOSPI Rises on Individual Buying Momentum
On the 3rd, the KOSPI index started with a slight gain.
According to the Korea Exchange, as of 9:38 a.m., the KOSPI index was at 2691.97, up 11.02 points (0.42%) from the previous trading day. The KOSPI opened at 2683.12, up 2.12 points (+0.08%) from the previous day.
Individual investors are net buyers with 39 billion KRW, while foreigners and institutions are net sellers with 4.1 billion KRW and 33.1 billion KRW, respectively.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics (-0.40%) and SK Hynix (-0.75%) are declining, and Hyundai Motor and Kia are falling more than 2%. KB Financial Group (-0.23%) is also slightly down.
On the other hand, LG Energy Solution (0.24%), Samsung Biologics (0.31%), Celltrion (1.27%), POSCO Holdings (0.28%), and Shinhan Financial Group (1.07%) are rising.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index is at 772.62, up 3.48 points (0.45%) from the previous trading day. Individuals and foreigners are buying 5.9 billion KRW each, while institutions are selling 4.3 billion KRW.
