Ulsan City will begin road maintenance from September 2 to September 13 to provide a safe road environment for travelers returning home during the Chuseok holiday.
The Ulsan City General Construction Headquarters, district and county offices, Gimhae National Land Management Office, Korea Expressway Corporation, and other related agencies will work together to improve the city's appearance and maintain road facilities.
The main focus of the maintenance includes: ▲ collection of roadside trash and removal of weeds ▲ emergency repair of road depressions and damages ▲ pruning of trees obstructing road signs ▲ maintenance of road safety facilities ▲ removal of banners and illegally placed roadside items ▲ organization of construction materials at sites and securing traffic safety.
For major gateway roads in Ulsan, such as Cheongnyang IC and Munsu IC on the Donghae Expressway, environmental maintenance will be carried out in cooperation with the Korea Expressway Corporation and others.
An official from Ulsan City stated, "We will do our utmost to provide a safe and pleasant road environment for travelers returning home before the Chuseok holiday by thoroughly maintaining the environment."

During the Chuseok holiday, Ulsan City also plans to operate seven emergency duty teams with 35 members and eight emergency repair teams with 59 members to ensure quick response and road maintenance so that citizens can use the roads safely.
