In particular, considering the low awareness of Gadeokdo New Airport among young people in the Seoul metropolitan area, the popup will be held at Wow Gallery near Hongik University, an area with a high floating population of university students and youth.
The popup will feature a variety of interactive programs, such as games and photo zones, that allow visitors to naturally understand the economic effects and future value of Gadeokdo New Airport as a logistics hub airport and a 24-hour gateway airport.
All participation programs have been designed to reflect the latest trends, allowing visitors to easily enjoy and experience Gadeokdo New Airport.
In addition, a collaboration space with leading local brands will be set up, where promotional fan merchandise (goods) for Gadeokdo New Airport, created in partnership with brands such as Idaemyung-gwa, Busan Bada Sand, Songwol Towel, and Jimillennial, will be showcased.
This is expected to not only build consensus for Gadeokdo New Airport among people in the Seoul metropolitan area but also greatly help promote leading local brands.
On the first day of the popup, August 30 at 2 p.m., a 'Media Day' event was held at the popup space. The event included messages of support and popup experiences, with the participation of journalists, city communication campaign ambassador Jung Seojoo, Olympic shooting silver medalist Park Hanjun, influencers, and others.
Park Kwangmyung, the city spokesperson, stated, "We expect that the Gadeokdo New Airport promotional popup 'Gadeokhage' will naturally convey the core values, necessity, and Busan's passionate aspirations for Gadeokdo New Airport, which will be a driving force for South Korea's economic growth, and generate nationwide consensus." He added, "The city will continue to conduct various promotional activities nationwide to communicate the core values and necessity of city policies, just like this popup."
