Uljugun to Promote Construction of New Forest Fire Suppression Forest Roads
New 2km Section to Be Built from Daebok-ri, Ungchon-myeon to Samjeong-ri, Cheongnyang-eup
Ulsan's Ulju County is pushing forward with a project to construct a new forest fire control road from Daebok-ri in Ungchon-myeon to Samjeong-ri in Cheongnyang-eup.
Forest fire control roads are established in areas with a high risk of large-scale wildfires or where such fires have occurred. These roads are built wider than standard forest roads and include features such as shelters, applying specialized criteria for forest areas to enhance the convenience and effectiveness of wildfire suppression efforts.
Ulju County will carry out the construction of the new road, covering a total length of 2 km, from September to the end of December.
The project will include 1.07 km of concrete pavement, 11 cross-drainage structures, and the stacking of 488 cubic meters of large stones.
Currently, there are 48 forest roads in Ulju County, with a total length of 142.3 km. Upon completion of this project, the number of forest roads in Ulju County will increase to 49, with a total length of 144.3 km.
