Namyang Dairy Products announced on the 28th that it has launched a 'Compliance Committee' composed of four internal and external experts from various fields including the legal sector, academia, and the economy.

View original imageThe Namyang Dairy Products Compliance Committee serves as a control tower that reviews Namyang Dairy Products' compliance and ethical management policies and regulations, inspects the internal control system, and provides consultation. The inaugural chairperson of the Compliance Committee is Lee Jeong-mi, a representative lawyer of the law firm Logos. The committee members include Cho Hyun-jung, chairman of Bit Computer; Jang Young-gyun, professor of business administration at Sogang University; and Lee Sang-wook, head of the Compliance Management Office at Namyang Dairy Products.
Chairperson Lee served as a judge for 30 years, including as a constitutional court justice and a chief judge of the high court. She also served as a distinguished professor at Korea University and is currently the representative lawyer of the law firm Logos. She holds positions such as an outside director of corporations and chairman of the Public Officials Ethics Committee of the National Election Commission. Based on her legal career and expertise, she plans to set normative directions for Namyang Dairy Products' compliance control and support systems and establish internal regulations related to compliance management.
Earlier, on the 16th, Namyang Dairy Products announced a 'Plan to Strengthen Compliance and Ethical Management,' expressing its commitment to transparent and ethical business activities. The company aims to transform into a sustainable growth enterprise by introducing advanced systems to strengthen internal controls, establishing compliance control standards and ethical codes, and creating a dedicated organization for compliance and ethical management.
