Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-gwon) announced that it will operate specialized employment and start-up training programs featuring unique courses such as pharmacy clerk, foreign tourist urban homestay business (shared accommodation), and airport ground handling to support residents who wish to find jobs or start businesses.
All of these training programs will be led by current industry professionals who will vividly share diverse field knowledge and know-how.
First, the pharmacy clerk training course, which will be held in 7 sessions until September 6, includes education on ▲pharmacy operations and the role of clerks and understanding prescriptions ▲understanding computerized tasks ▲understanding dispensing room duties. The district plans to cultivate personnel who can be immediately deployed in the field.
The district plans to connect graduates of the training with pharmacy employment opportunities. Pharmacies wishing to hire clerks can register job openings at the ‘Job Plus Center’ to recruit qualified trainees.
In addition to employment programs, the district operates a ‘Foreign Tourist Urban Homestay Business (Shared Accommodation) Start-up Course’ to strengthen the capabilities of prospective entrepreneurs. Commonly known as ‘Airbnb’ and similar platforms, the ‘foreign tourist urban homestay business’ is a growing start-up sector due to the recent surge in demand for accommodation from increasing foreign tourists.
The training consists of courses such as ▲registration and application procedures for foreign tourist urban homestay business ▲interior design and styling ▲types of reservation platforms, and will be conducted in 8 sessions until September 11.
The ‘Airport Ground Handling Customized Employment Training Course’ is currently recruiting trainees, and residents interested in airport ground handling can apply until September 5.
