Police Search Current Official Suspected of Leaking Documents Related to 'Kim Sunho Spy Allegation'
On the 19th, Investigated as a Suspect
The police have completed a search and seizure operation and summoned an on-duty public official suspected of leaking documents from the Defense Security Command, which were personal materials of former Ministry of the Interior and Safety Police Bureau Chief Kim Sun-ho.
On the 27th, the Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Metropolitan Investigation Division at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that on the 1st of this month, they conducted a search and seizure of the home and mobile phone of Park, an on-duty public official, on charges of violating the Special Act on the May 18 Democratization Movement and the Personal Information Protection Act. Additionally, on the 19th of this month, Park was summoned as a suspect and questioned once.
Park is known to have worked as an investigator at the May 18 Democratization Movement Truth Commission.
