Kursk Attacked but Demonstrates Normal Diplomatic Conduct
Following Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Azerbaijan, on the 23rd (local time), he held a phone call with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, mediating the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The Kremlin stated in a press release that "President Putin confirmed Russia's willingness to support the peace treaty and border demarcation between Armenia and Azerbaijan."
Additionally, the Kremlin explained that during the conversation with Prime Minister Pashinyan, they also discussed President Putin's state visit to Azerbaijan on the 18th-19th, where he held talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Azerbaijan and Armenia have been in conflict over the Nagorno-Karabakh region. This area is internationally recognized as Azerbaijani territory, but Armenian residents established a self-proclaimed republic and occupied it for about 30 years.
