Vietnam's Only Ultra-High Voltage Cable Production
Accelerating Growth with 80% Market Share
LS Eco Energy announced on the 22nd that its Vietnam production subsidiary, 'LS-VINA,' has agreed to supply extra-high voltage cables to the Vietnam Electricity Corporation (EVN).
The cables will be used for infrastructure development around Tan Son Nhat Airport in southern Ho Chi Minh City and the Song Khoai industrial complex in Quang Ninh Province in the northeast. This area is undergoing large-scale projects such as new city development and airport construction in accordance with the Vietnamese government's urban development plan. The Vietnamese government aims to increase the urbanization rate, currently about 43%, to over 50% by 2030 and is promoting related projects.
LS-VINA is the only company producing extra-high voltage cables in Vietnam. Its current market share reaches approximately 80%. Recently, it has been expanding exports to Europe and North America. Additionally, LS-VINA is the only Korean cable company to have received PQ (Pre-Qualification) approval from EVN. PQ approval is an indicator that evaluates specific requirements related to cable quality, and obtaining it is mandatory to supply products to EVN.
