Top Korean Creators Invited to Discuss 'The Future of Design Through AI'
The Creative Convergence Forum (CCF), hosted by Kyungnam College of Information & Technology and now in its fifth year, is gaining popularity as the number of pre-registered participants has surpassed 2,000.
Kyungnam College of Information & Technology announced that the 5th CCF (Creative Convergence Forum) will be held at the Haeundae Centum Campus Convention Hall on September 7 at 12:00 PM. Since opening online registration on the 14th, the number of applicants exceeded 2,000 as of the 21st.
CCF is an event that invites top creators leading design studios in Korea to deliver special lectures and discussions on new design industries and trends.
This year, in order to provide more opportunities for local students and citizens to participate, the university partnered with 'SHARE X,' a platform company that shares the experiences of design firms, to accept online applications. As a result, the original quota of 300 was exceeded within a single day.
Accordingly, the participant limit was lifted, and within a week, the number of applicants surpassed 2,000. The 320 seats prepared for on-site participation at the Centum Campus venue were also fully booked within two days.
This year's CCF will focus on the theme 'The Future of Design Through AI,' sharing experiences in AI design technology.
The event will proceed in the following order: Byun Sabeom, advisor at PLUS X - Image Generation Through Generative AI; Chae Byeongrok, CEO of CBR GRAPHIC - Graphic Design Through Generative AI; Jeon Ian, CEO of COMPOUND COLLECTIVE - Video Design Through Generative AI; Park Kyungsik, director of ARCHIMOSPHERE - Space Design Through Generative AI; Song Bonggyu, CEO of BKID - Product Design Through Generative AI; and Jeong Giyeong, creative director at PLUS X - BX Design Through Generative AI.
Since 2020, CCF has been held as part of the college's innovation support project for vocational colleges, inviting renowned domestic panelists to enhance students' global mindsets and serve as a bridge for citizens of Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam to access information typically concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area. The event has enjoyed great success so far.
Kim Taesang, president of Kyungnam College of Information & Technology, said, "Our college is doing its utmost to fulfill its role as a leading community college in Busan by providing programs needed by the local community, students, and citizens. We will continue to prepare thoroughly for the event to inspire creative design sensibilities and a spirit of challenge."
