Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Encourages Disabled Artists at Disability Art Exhibition Festival
On the morning of the 20th, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the Salt Road Gallery (Daehung-ro 24ba-gil 11), where the 'Disability Arts Exhibition Festival' was being held.
Organized by the Mapo Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled and sponsored by the Korea District Heating Corporation Central Branch and Soltin Vision Center Salt Road Gallery, this exhibition was held as part of a job creation project for people with disabilities.
Nine disabled artists participated in the exhibition. From August 13 to 19, calligraphy works were displayed, and from August 20 to 30, oil paintings are being exhibited.

On this day, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said in his congratulatory speech, "I send my sincere applause to the artists who have sublimated the hardships of life into brilliant, jewel-like works," adding, "Believing that a society where people with disabilities are happy is an advanced society, Mapo District will implement leading policies to promote artistic activities for people with disabilities."
