Pianist Son Minsu Recital 'Goldberg Variations'
Concert Hall, Seoul Arts Center on October 13
Im Yunchan's mentor, pianist Son Minsu, will perform Bach's Goldberg Variations at a solo recital in the Concert Hall of the Seoul Arts Center on October 13.
The Goldberg Variations is a work often described as a musical architecture in which Johann Sebastian Bach thoroughly calculated and incorporated the essence of his lifelong musical achievements. The piece begins with an aria, passes through thirty variations, and concludes with the aria again.
Son Minsu is renowned for his deeply researched complete performances. From 2017 to 2021, he performed the complete Beethoven piano sonatas and released a complete Beethoven sonata album in 2020. He also performed the complete Liszt Transcendental Etudes in 2022, and last year, the complete Beethoven piano concertos and Rachmaninoff's ?tudes-Tableaux.

This upcoming stage marks the beginning of Son Minsu's journey toward Bach. Tickets for the performance can be purchased at the Seoul Arts Center, Interpark Ticket, and Yes24. Ticket prices are 80,000 KRW for R seats, 60,000 KRW for S seats, and 40,000 KRW for A seats.
