Baegunju Co., Ltd. Recognized 'Baegun Bokbunja' as a Premium Namdo Traditional Liquor
Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced on the 16th that Baegun Jugga Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Chang-seok)'s 'Baegun Bokbunja' won the Excellence Award at the '2024 Namdo Our Liquor Competition.'
Hosted by Jeollanam-do and organized by the Jeonnam Traditional Liquor Producers Association, the 'Namdo Our Liquor Competition' has been held annually since 2009 to improve the quality and recognition of Namdo liquor made from Jeonnam agricultural products and to strengthen product competitiveness.
‘Baegun Bokbunja,’ which won the Excellence Award at the competition held on the 13th, is a prestigious traditional liquor that has won awards at liquor competitions every year. This product is made by low-temperature aging of Gwangyang bokbunja (Korean black raspberries) grown under abundant sunlight, preserving its original taste and aroma, and is known for its subtle sweetness and excellent umami flavor.
In addition to ‘Baegun Bokbunja,’ Baegun Jugga Co., Ltd. offers various traditional liquors such as ‘Byeolhe1ju1941,’ a distilled liquor made using the highest quality maesil (Korean green plums) from Gwangyang; ‘Maesil Makgeolli,’ which harmoniously blends the unique sweet and sour aroma of maesil with the savory scent of grains; ‘Baegun Bokbunja Wine,’ known for its balanced sweetness and acidity of fresh fruit and clean taste; and ‘Bamboo Liquor.’
