Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Encourages Participants in the 79th Liberation Day Flag Raising Campaign
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the '79th Liberation Day Flag Raising Campaign' held in front of Exit 8 of Hapjeong Station on the morning of the 14th, a day before Liberation Day, to encourage the participants.
The event, organized by the Mapo Saemaeul Association, was attended by about 40 people including the Saemaeul Association's executive members and Saemaeul leaders to commemorate Liberation Day.
On this day, the Saemaeul Association participants distributed 800 car flags and 140 home flags of the Taegeukgi to citizens on their way to work, conducting a campaign to encourage the display of the Taegeukgi.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, "I sincerely thank the Mapo Saemaeul Association for preparing this meaningful event to share the Taegeukgi in commemoration of Liberation Day," and added, "Raising the Taegeukgi is the beginning of remembering the past and pledging for tomorrow, so I hope all Mapo residents actively participate in raising the Taegeukgi on Liberation Day, the 15th."
