A pedestrian died in an accident involving a drunk driving vehicle.
According to Yonhap News Agency citing police and fire authorities on the 13th, "At around 2:10 a.m. that day in Bongmyeong-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon Metropolitan City, an SUV hit a man in his 20s, identified as A, who was crossing a crosswalk." The vehicle also crashed into a streetlight and a parked bus.
As a result of the accident, A died at the scene. Of the three people in the offending vehicle, two were taken to the hospital for treatment, and one fled but was caught by the police.
The two Cambodian nationals and one Korean who were in the car are known to be coworkers. All of them claimed that they were not the driver.
