Busan Urban Corporation Holds Policy Forum on Improvement Directions for Aged Public Rental Housing
Current Status and Future Vision of Public Rental Housing
Busan Metropolitan Corporation (BMC, President Kim Yonghak) will hold its third policy forum on the theme of "Directions for Improving Aging Public Rental Housing" at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center on the 28th.
This forum will proceed in the order of the opening ceremony, Part 1 presentations, and Part 2 comprehensive discussion. The opening ceremony will feature a welcoming speech by Kim Yonghak, President of Busan Metropolitan Corporation, followed by a congratulatory address from Kim Jaeun, Chairman of the Construction and Transportation Committee of the Busan Metropolitan Council.
In Part 1, Dr. Lee Yeongeun from the Korea Land and Housing Institute and Kim Eunji, Director of Site Planning Architects, will examine the current status of aging public rental housing and discuss future alternatives under the themes of "Redevelopment Strategies for Transforming LH Long-term Rental Complexes into Regional Hubs" and "The Present and Future of Busan Metropolitan Corporation's Public Rental Housing."
In the comprehensive discussion of Part 2, Professor Woo Singoo of Pusan National University will serve as the moderator. Panelists will include Lee Bokjo, Member of the Busan Metropolitan Council; Lee Donghyun, Director of Busan Research Institute; Ha Seongtae, Director of the Busan Housing and Architecture Bureau; Park Hogeol, Reporter at the Busan Ilbo; Lee Seunggyu, Team Leader at LH Rental Asset Management Division; and Park Youngsoo, Director at Busan Metropolitan Corporation. They will continue the discussion as expert panelists.
