Icheon City "Care Services for Vulnerable Groups Using AI"
Naver Clova's 'Care Call' Provides 'Safety Call' Service to 100 Households
On the 12th, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that starting this month, it will provide a smart care "Safety Call Service" based on large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) to 100 vulnerable households within the city.
This service, using Naver Clova's "Care Call," utilizes AI technology to make weekly calls to the mobile or home phones of socially isolated households such as elderly people living alone to check on their well-being. It also serves as a companion through natural conversations related to daily life, including health status, meals, sleep, and exercise.
The content of the calls with the AI is reviewed by the officials in charge of each eup, myeon, and dong. If signs of crisis are detected or assistance is needed, the officials verify the condition of the individual and provide necessary services.
