Since then, from 2013, it developed into the second phase project where Incheon City and its citizens cooperate to provide financial and technical support to developing countries experiencing desertification and land degradation, in accordance with the UN Convention to Combat Desertification.
The third phase, which started in 2018, is scheduled to be completed by 2027.
Next month, the city plans to hold a tree planting event for the Incheon Forest of Hope at the afforestation site created in Sukhbaatar Khaan, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, together with a volunteer group composed of private organizations, elementary, middle, and high school students, university students, and general citizens.
