Special Lecture on Prostate Diseases, Free Prostate Cancer Screening, and One-on-One Consultations at Gwangjin-gu Office Auditorium for 3 Hours Starting 8 AM on September 5
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will conduct a "Free Prostate Screening and Health Lecture" to promote healthy and happy lives for middle-aged men.
Prostate diseases are common among middle-aged men, and their incidence is rapidly increasing due to Westernized eating habits, lack of exercise, and aging. According to the 2020 National Cancer Registry Statistics, prostate cancer ranked third in cancer incidence among men in Korea.
In response, the district has prepared a special lecture on prostate diseases and free screenings. The event will be held on September 5th from 8 a.m. for three hours at the Gwangjin-gu Office auditorium. In collaboration with the Korea Prostate and Urination Management Association, the program includes ▲urination disorder questionnaires ▲special lectures on prostate diseases ▲free prostate cancer tests (PSA) ▲one-on-one consultations with specialists. Especially, the one-on-one health consultations with four urology specialists will provide a valuable opportunity for residents to resolve their concerns.
Any resident aged 55 or older can apply. Applications can be made by contacting the Gwangjin-gu Public Health Center, and 150 participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting August 12th.
