Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters Announces Call for Applications for 2025 KHNP Support Program
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters (Director Lee Gwanghun) is accepting applications for the "2025 KHNP Support Project" until September 3.
Previously referred to as the "Operator Support Project," the "KHNP Support Project" is a program in which Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, as the power plant operator, discovers and supports various activities for the revitalization of the local economy, environmental improvement, cultural promotion, and welfare enhancement in areas near power plants, in accordance with the "Act on Support for Areas Surrounding Power Plants."
The total budget for the 2025 "KHNP Support Project" at Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters is 8.5 billion KRW. Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters is conducting this open call to discover projects that can provide practical assistance to local residents and to ensure fair and transparent project selection and execution.
Details and application forms for the project call can be found on the Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters website or the Gijang County Office website.
Additionally, to encourage participation from more organizations, groups, and local residents, Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters will hold an information session at 2:00 p.m. on August 7 at the Multi-Performance Hall of the Kori Sports Culture Center in Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan. The session will provide guidance on major changes for 2025, application procedures, and tips for writing project proposals.
Lee Gwanghun, Director of Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, "We hope that through the 2025 KHNP Support Project open call, many projects that can provide real benefits to the local community will be discovered and implemented next year."
