Samsung Electronics Selected No.1 for 2 Consecutive Years
'Satisfactory Salary and Compensation' Cited
Samsung Electronics has been selected as the most desirable company for college students to work at for the second consecutive year.
Incruit recently announced on the 29th that a survey conducted among 962 college students nationwide who are job hunting revealed this result, asking which companies they want to work for among the top 130 companies by market capitalization on the domestic stock market.
Samsung Electronics (8.1%) ranked first again this year, following last year. Samsung Electronics, which has maintained a top 10 position since 2014, reclaimed the number one spot last year for the first time in 10 years.
The most cited reason for choosing Samsung Electronics was "satisfactory salary and compensation system" (39.7%). This was followed by "pride as a member" (24.4%).
Naver (7.2%) rose one rank to second place compared to last year, while Kakao (5.5%), which was second last year, dropped to third. Following were Hyundai Motor (4.7%) in fourth, CJ ENM (3.3%) in fifth, Amorepacific (3.2%) in sixth, CJ CheilJedang (3.0%) in seventh, Korean Air (2.9%) in eighth, and SK Hynix (2.5%) in ninth. LG Electronics (2.0%), tied for tenth place, entered the top 10 for the first time since 2005, and S-Oil (2.0%) entered the top 10 for the first time this time.

The top preferred companies by major were Samsung Electronics (14.8%) for engineering and electronics fields, Naver (7.9%) for humanities, social sciences, business, and education fields, and Samsung Biologics (6.2%) for natural sciences, medicine, and life sciences fields.
