Actor Son Seok-gu starred in the film "Night Fishing," which won the Best Editing Award in the short film competition at the Fantasia International Film Festival. According to the production company Stanum on the 28th, the judges praised the editing, which was uniquely composed from the perspective of a car camera, as fresh and innovative.
"Night Fishing" is a project planned by Hyundai Motor Company. It deals with a mysterious incident that occurs at an electric vehicle charging station on a dark night. The film was directed by Moon Byung-gon, who won the Palme d'Or in the short film competition at the 2013 Cannes International Film Festival with his first short film "Safe." Regarding this new achievement, he said, "I want to express my gratitude to editor Kim Woo-il, who worked with me without a single complaint, and to my friend and lead actor Son Seok-gu." He added, "I am thankful to Hyundai Motor Company and Innocean for enabling us to come this far," and stated, "I will use this award as motivation to return with an outstanding work."
