[Concall] SK Hynix "Customer New Product Cycle Accelerates from 2 Years to 1 Year, Positive for HBM"
On the 25th, SK Hynix stated during its Q2 earnings conference call that "if the product launch cycle for customers' graphics processing units (GPUs) shortens, the expansion of the artificial intelligence (AI) market size is expected to positively impact the demand for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) semiconductor products."
SK Hynix added, "If the GPU launch cycle accelerates, the development time for the corresponding HBM technology will need to be shortened, which could be a burden for DRAM manufacturers in terms of development," but also said, "For 'leaders' who have mastered all capabilities such as technological competitiveness, abundant mass production experience, and skills, it will rather be a favorable environment."
