‘Safe Even at Night Mud Road’... Guro-gu Installs Night Lighting on Yeonji Neighborhood Park Mud Road
Supplementary Budget of 100 Million Won Allocated... Park and Other Facilities to Be Installed Around Hwangtotgil by October
Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) will install nighttime lighting on the yellow soil path in Yeonji Neighborhood Park to prevent safety accidents and improve convenience for residents.
The yellow soil path in Yeonji Neighborhood Park, newly created last June, has become a popular spot attracting an average of 400 visitors per day within just one month of operation, harmonizing with the cypress forest.
With a total length of 460 meters, the starting point is equipped with a foot washing station, allowing people of all ages to conveniently walk barefoot while enjoying the phytoncides emitted by the cypress trees.
However, the lack of nighttime lighting made it inconvenient to use after sunset and when it got dark.
The district plans to begin construction next month, investing 100 million KRW secured through supplementary budgeting.
If the construction proceeds as planned, from October, visitors will be able to enjoy autumn evening walks along the softly glowing lights around the yellow soil path.
