[Invest&Law] Law Firm Changcheon Launches 'Digital Solution Team' to Address Virtual Asset Issues
Law firm Changcheon (representative lawyers Kim Jong-hoon and Yoon Je-seon) announced on the 24th that its Digital Solutions Team is proactively responding to amendment issues such as the Act on Reporting and Using Specified Financial Transaction Information and the Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Protection of Virtual Asset Users.
The Digital Solutions Team was launched in January this year in line with the establishment of the Financial Supervisory Service's Virtual Asset Investigation Bureau to help virtual asset users understand relevant laws and respond to the changing environment of virtual asset service providers.
The team leader is representative lawyer Yoon Je-seon (age 40, Judicial Research and Training Institute class 40), an expert in virtual assets and finance who is active in the Blockchain Law Society. In addition, five experts with extensive experience in blockchain and virtual asset-related legal disputes and consultations participated, including ▲litigation related to virtual asset transactions ▲consultation on reporting and change reporting for virtual asset service providers ▲consultation on virtual asset securities evaluation ▲consultation on security token offerings (STO).
Team member lawyer Hyun Ji-hye (passed the 5th bar exam) said, "Although virtual asset-related information has only surfaced a few years ago, many environmental changes have occurred in a short period, such as criminal cases arising and laws being amended. It is difficult for all users to fully understand the relevant laws, so proactively responding and consulting through specialized lawyers is the right alternative."
