Benefits can be received after obtaining a damage confirmation certificate from the mayor, county governor, district head, or town, township, and neighborhood chief of the affected facility's location.
For residential houses, commercial buildings, and commercial or agricultural facilities, cadastral survey fees are fully waived. If cadastral surveys are conducted to confirm boundaries or current status for damage restoration, only half of the fees are charged. For example, a land boundary restoration survey (one parcel, 300㎡) costs about 418,000 KRW.
The special disaster areas eligible for fee waivers currently include five locations: Yeongdong-gun in Chungbuk, Nonsan-si and Seocheon-gun in Chungnam, Wanju-gun in Jeonbuk, and Ipam-myeon in Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk. Additional areas may be added depending on future circumstances.
Residents who wish to apply for cadastral surveys can visit the cadastral survey reception desk set up at the civil service offices of the city, county, or district where the land is located, or apply via the internet or telephone.
Park Geon-su, Director of Land Information Policy at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, said, "We will do our best to support residents affected by the heavy rains so that they can quickly return to their daily lives and livelihoods through this measure."
