A passenger train derailed in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, resulting in 2 deaths and 25 injuries.
On the 18th (local time), according to Hindustan Times and others, the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express train connecting northern and eastern Assam derailed in the Gonda area of northern Uttar Pradesh.
Local media reported that 15 train cars derailed, with some vehicles tipping over to the side.
Indian NDTV and others reported that the trains had derailed and toppled, showing passengers gathering their belongings and exiting the train.
