The Korea Rural Community Corporation Yeongam Branch (Branch Manager Lim Moon-hee) conducted a safety inspection of construction sites in preparation for heavy rainfall on the 17th.
According to the Korea Rural Community Corporation Yeongam Branch on the 18th, this safety inspection was carried out as a joint safety check with on-site representatives targeting construction sites currently in progress.

Accordingly, pre-identified hazardous and dangerous factors were immediately addressed to enhance the reliability of the inspection.
In particular, disaster-vulnerable construction types such as soil erosion on excavation slopes, structural settlement due to weakening of surrounding ground, and damage to temporary structures were focused on, and emergency contact networks were organized along with pre-use inspections of flood control materials for rapid response in case of damage.
Lim Moon-hee, Branch Manager of Yeongam, instructed, “Conduct monitoring at each site regarding the recent highly volatile abnormal climate and strengthen surveillance activities to minimize human and material damage when weather warnings are issued.”
He added, “Natural disasters require prevention through the full participation of all construction project participants as the top priority, and we plan to devote all efforts to disaster response,” and “We will operate the Yeongam Branch Disaster Safety Situation Room to actively support emergency situations.”
In addition, the Yeongam Branch plans to do its best to realize safe farming by additionally inspecting major drainage facilities and other agricultural production infrastructure to quickly discharge stormwater during heavy rainfall and prevent disasters and accidents in advance.
