The School Manager project is a program supported by the district to provide personnel (School Managers) who can manage school sports facilities opened to residents on Saturdays and Sundays when there are no classes.
In response to continuous demands from residents for opening school facilities, Gwangjin-gu decided to cooperate with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education to offer school playgrounds and gymnasiums in the area as spaces for residents.
The signing ceremony was held with the attendance of Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, and Jo Hee-yeon, Superintendent of Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲opening hours of school sports facilities ▲recruitment and management of School Managers ▲payment of incentives to schools that open their facilities. Both organizations took time to confirm and share their respective responsibilities to ensure smooth opening of sports facilities.
According to this agreement, Gwangjin-gu plans to actively cooperate in managing facilities and resolving complaints arising from the opening of school facilities, including promoting the School Manager project. Schools participating in the pilot operation of the School Manager program will receive a special incentive of 20 million KRW from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education.

We will operate the project vigorously and substantively so that many schools in the area can participate in opening their sports facilities.”
