Ulleung County Signs Agreement with Three Gas Stations to Lower Heating Oil Prices
Ulleung County in North Gyeongsang Province signed an agreement on the 10th with three local gas stations to improve support for maritime transportation costs aimed at reducing heating oil (kerosene) prices.
Until now, the average price of kerosene at local gas stations was 1,529 KRW per liter (as of June, Opinet), which is 205 KRW higher than the North Gyeongsang Province average of 1,324 KRW per liter (as of June, Opinet).

View original imageWith this agreement, starting from the 11th, the price of kerosene on Ulleungdo has dropped by about 200 to 250 KRW per liter, which is expected to reduce the economic burden on Ulleung residents and greatly contribute to local price stabilization.
County Governor Nam Hankwon said, "I would like to express my gratitude to the representatives of the three local gas stations who made a significant decision for this agreement. I will do my best to ensure that this agreement serves not only as a short-term measure but also as a stepping stone for exploring various long-term policies."
