Participation of Rescue Teams and Multipurpose Special Volunteer Fire Brigades
Masan Fire Station of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam conducted a 'joint water rescue drill' at the coastal area of Gubok-ri, Gusan-myeon, Masanhappo-gu, with a total of 46 participants, including 13 rescue team members, 8 firefighters, and 25 volunteer firefighters, to respond quickly and professionally to summer water-related accidents.

View original imageThe drill, held on the 11th, aimed to establish a culture of safety and ensure thorough response activities for various water-related accidents during the summer, as well as to enhance the field expertise of rescue teams and specialized volunteer firefighters and strengthen their life-saving capabilities.
The main training contents included: ▲ Education on water accident response procedures (standard operating procedures) → Setting up operational zones for water rescue activities ▲ Training to observe changes in hazards at the accident site ▲ Joint search and rescue drills for locating and retrieving victims.
Lee Gilha, Chief of Masan Fire Station, said, "We will do our best to conduct thorough pre-training to prevent water-related accidents in the summer and ensure prompt rescue operations at the scene."
