Baemin Launches Heatwave Safety Campaign with Ministry of Employment and Labor
Encouraging Prevention of Heatwave Damage and Securing Rest Breaks
Woowa Brothers, the logistics service provider for Baedal Minjok (Baemin), announced on the 12th that it will conduct the ‘Delivery Safety 365 Campaign’ in collaboration with the Ministry of Employment and Labor to deliver heatwave safety guidelines for delivery riders’ healthy operations during the summer season.
Woowa Brothers and the Ministry of Employment and Labor are running the ‘Delivery Safety 365 Campaign’ throughout this year to promote safe riding and healthy delivery activities for riders in the heat, prevent two-wheeled vehicle traffic accidents, and raise riders’ safety awareness. Various safety guidelines will be created as card news and shared with riders through channels such as the Baemin Connect app, Instagram, and the official blog.
The content of this Delivery Safety 365 Campaign was developed based on the ‘Heat-related Illness Guide’ distributed by the Ministry of Employment and Labor last month to enhance its expertise. Key points include four essential guidelines that riders must be aware of during delivery activities: ▲ drink water every 15 to 20 minutes ▲ take sufficient rest in the shade or shelter when the sun is strong ▲ protect the skin from heat ▲ maintain stricter hygiene management as the temperature rises.

Additionally, riders are provided with a ‘Heat-related Illness Self-Diagnosis Checklist’ to detect heatstroke or sunstroke symptoms during outdoor activities in advance. In case of symptoms related to heat-related illnesses such as headache, high fever, dizziness, muscle cramps, or extreme fatigue, the app guides riders to nearby shelters where they can rest.
