Professor Lee Wooyoung of Dongmyung University Composes Musical 'What If' for Miryang Performing Arts Festival
Singer Kim Bumsoo Participates in Album, Fostering K-pop Talent
Professor Lee Wooyoung from the Department of Entertainment at Tongmyong University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) is known to have composed the music for the invited musical 'What If' at the 24th Miryang Performing Arts Festival.
The Miryang Performing Arts Festival is a representative local cultural brand that every performing artist must visit.
The invited musical 'What If' will be unveiled on the 28th during this year's festival.
Professor Lee Wooyoung, who was in charge of composition, began his career in the popular music industry by participating in albums of singer Kim Bumsoo. He later conducted research on musicals, convergence sound, and music producing at the Seoul Performing Arts Company under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Professor Lee is currently teaching K-Pop Digital Music, Visual Content, and Artificial Intelligence Art Engineering (AT) at the Department of Entertainment Arts at Tongmyong University.
Professor Lee emphasized, "Since musicals are an art genre where musical movement and narrative are central, music plays a significant role," and added, "I worked hard to ensure that audiences can experience unique sounds in this work, What If."

The masterpiece musical What If is a delightful romantic comedy that poses the question, "If you could make five wishes to fulfill your unrequited love, what would you wish for?" This special performance features musical actors Lee Junghwi, Park Taejun, Yoon Jinwoong, Kim Junghyuk, and former member of the popular girl group Nine Muses, Pyo Hyemi.
