Prosecutors Arrest and Indict Man in His 30s for Growing Marijuana at Home
The prosecution has indicted a man in his 30s for illegally cultivating marijuana at his home.

View original imageOn the 11th, the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office announced that Mr. A was indicted on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. Mr. A is accused of cultivating marijuana at his home located in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi Province.
The police received a tip-off around 10 a.m. on the 24th of last month and seized 101 marijuana plants (roots) from a villa in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi Province, arresting Mr. A in the act.
At the time, marijuana plants about 1 to 2 meters tall were being cultivated inside the villa, which was equipped with a boiler for temperature and humidity control as well as light adjustment devices.

A police official stated, "It has been confirmed that Mr. A cultivated the marijuana alone, and an investigation is currently underway regarding whether he sold the marijuana."
