Yeongju Opens Three Floor Fountain Swimming Pools
Samhakji Park, Lululala Playground, Ajiya Camping Site
Open Until August 16, Safety Personnel Deployed
Yeongju City in North Gyeongsang Province will open three ground fountains and swimming pools on the 20th to help beat the summer heat.
The Samgakji ground fountain water playground, Punggi Lululala Playground ground fountain, and Aji Youth Camping Site outdoor swimming pool, which will open on this day, will all be operated until August 16.
The city will assign two safety personnel to each of the three locations and provide a safe water play environment for visitors through regular maintenance.
The Samgakji ground fountain water playground, located in the city center of Hyocheon-dong Samgakji area, features two tunnel fountains covering 252 square meters, along with a total of seven water play facilities in six different types.
The water playground will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on rainy days. It will not operate on Mondays due to safety inspections and maintenance. For the convenience of children and guardians, sunshade facilities will be installed.
The Punggi Lululala Playground (Namwon-ro, Punggi-eup) ground fountain covers a floor area of 78.5 square meters and has a capacity of 43 square meters. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (50 minutes of operation and 10 minutes of rest), except on Mondays and rainy days.
In particular, on August 10 and 11, the "Ground Fountain and Exciting Water Play Experience" event will be held. Continuing from last year, this event will offer children and their families the opportunity to create precious summer memories during the vacation season, with a water play pool, water slide, and resting area provided.
The outdoor swimming pool at Aji Youth Camping Site (Hoeheon-ro) will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the operating period.
Starting this year, not only children but also adult family members can use the swimming pool. Admission fees are 2,000 won for adults and 1,000 won for youths (for groups, 1,500 won for adults and 800 won for youths), with payment by card only (both advance reservation and on-site registration available).
