Hwaseong-si Achieves $60.73 Million Export Consultation Success in Vietnam
8 Companies Participate in Ho Chi Minh Machinery Exhibition with 'Group Pavilion' 운영
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 11th that it achieved export consultation results worth 60.73 million USD (approximately 83.8 billion KRW) at the '2024 Vietnam Machinery Trade Fair (MTA VIETNAM 2024)' held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from the 2nd to the 5th.
This exhibition is Vietnam's largest machinery and metal-related trade fair showcasing various industrial products such as machine tools, metal processing, tools, and welding machines. Hwaseong City has been participating in the exhibition for three consecutive years since 2022, operating a group pavilion. This year, eight local companies participated in the group pavilion, achieving 89 consultations worth 60.73 million USD, the city explained.
Through the "Hwaseong City Group Pavilion," company representatives participating in the machinery exhibition held in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, are pledging to expand exports locally.

In particular, at the exhibition, Hanseong Hanaron, a manufacturer of polyethylene foam production equipment, signed two memorandums of understanding (MOUs) for export contracts worth 580,000 USD. Buyeong Metal Industry, a manufacturer of door handles and hinges, also signed an MOU for an export contract worth 100,000 USD.
A representative of Hanseong Hanaron, which also participated in last year’s exhibition, said, "As a result of continuous communication with buyers we met at Hwaseong City's group pavilion last year, we achieved the outcome of signing MOUs for export this year," adding, "Increasing our recognition in the local market through the exhibition greatly helped secure sales channels."
