Korea National Oil Corporation (President Kim Dongseob) has formed a safety response task force to begin exploration drilling for oil and gas fields.
The corporation announced on the 11th that it has established the 'Domestic Continental Shelf Safety Response Task Force' to address safety concerns such as earthquakes related to deep-sea exploration drilling in the East Sea and to strengthen communication with the local community.
Through this task force, the corporation plans to establish a comprehensive safety response system before and after the exploration drilling, closely monitor the entire drilling process, and seek expert consultation if necessary.
