Crescom Partners with Asan Hospital to Develop AI for Pediatric Fracture Detection
Medical AI company Crescom announced on the 9th that it will develop a pediatric fracture detection AI in collaboration with Seoul Asan Hospital through the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 'Emergency Room Specialized AI-based Clinical Support System Development Project.' This project aims to develop an emergency medical specialized AI-based clinical support system and apply it in clinical settings to improve the efficiency of actual emergency room operations as well as patient survival and recovery rates. A total of 22.8 billion KRW will be supported over five years starting this year.
Crescom supplies musculoskeletal-specialized medical imaging analysis solutions such as ▲MediAI-BA, an AI growth plate analysis solution ▲MediAI-OA, a knee osteoarthritis severity analysis solution ▲MediAI-FX, capable of interpreting scaphoid fractures. The company explained that it was recognized for such technological capabilities and thus is participating in the pediatric emergency decision support field in this development project.
Pediatric fractures are more difficult to interpret than adult fractures due to the characteristics of bones and growth plates. Through this project, Crescom and Seoul Asan Hospital plan to ▲build AI data on pediatric fractures in hospitals ▲develop AI supporting pediatric fracture decision-making in the company ▲and apply and verify these in clinical settings of the leading and participating hospitals.
