Welfare Funds for Low-Income Children’s Holiday Meal Expenses
Busan Bank Has Raised a Total of 6.7 Billion Won Since 2004
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yoonsoo) received 786.98 million KRW from Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) on the 5th as the 2023 Busan Education Love Card fund in the superintendent's office.
The fund delivery ceremony was attended by Ha Yoonsoo, Superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, officials from the Office of Education, Bang Seongbin, President of Busan Bank, and Kim Jinhan, Executive Director of Digital Finance Headquarters at Busan Bank.
This fund delivery is based on an agreement made in 2004 between the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education and Busan Bank to support meal expenses for children from low-income families. For each issuance of the Busan Education Love Card, 5,000 KRW is accumulated, and a certain percentage of the usage amount?0.3% for individuals and 0.6% for corporations?is also set aside. To date, a total of 6.7 billion KRW has been provided for meal expenses and other support for children from low-income families.
The fund received this year increased by 89.22 million KRW compared to last year, thanks to the interest and support of the Busan education community. Both institutions plan to continue strengthening welfare support, such as holiday meal expenses for children from low-income families, through the accumulation of this fund.
