Gyeonggi-do Provides First Emergency Living Expenses to 4 Victims of Hwaseong Factory Fire
Gyeonggi Province has provided the first emergency living expenses to four victims of the Hwaseong factory fire.
On the 5th, Gyeonggi Province announced that Governor Kim Dong-yeon had revealed plans to support the bereaved families and victims of the Hwaseong factory fire accident with emergency living expenses, and on the 4th, 9.16 million KRW was paid to four Korean nationals.
Among the four, three were minor injury victims who each received 1.83 million KRW, and one was a serious injury victim who received 3.67 million KRW.
Gyeonggi Province decided to provide emergency support of 5.5 million KRW to the families of 23 deceased, 3.67 million KRW to two seriously injured victims, and 1.83 million KRW to six minor injury victims.
Min Ju-sik, head of the Labor Safety Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "The bereaved families and victims who heard the news of the emergency living expenses payment are curious about the possibility of overlapping with other government support," adding, "We are actively informing them that overlapping support is possible."
