Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok Attends 'Nowon District Residential Land Unit Plan Revision (Draft) Resident Briefing'
On the 2nd at 6:30 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Seoul, attended the 'Nowon District Land Unit Plan Reorganization (Draft) Resident Briefing' held in the small auditorium on the 2nd floor of the Nowon Lifelong Education Center in Nowon-gu, Seoul.
The land unit plan presented along with the public inspection notice covers an area of approximately 5.6㎢ in the Sanggye-dong, Junggye-dong, and Hagye-dong areas. This area is undergoing reorganization of the land unit plan because the large apartment complexes, which have passed 30 years since the completion of the housing development district, are simultaneously reaching the reconstruction period. The plan aims to establish an integrated basic urban concept and present reconstruction maintenance standards.
Following the Sanggye 1st and 2nd stage housing developments held on July 1st, individual resident briefings for the Sanggye housing site, Junggye housing site, and Junggye 2 housing site will be held over three days. Then, on July 4th, a comprehensive briefing covering all three housing sites will be held once more at the Nowon District Office small auditorium.
The district plans to hold ten additional small-scale resident briefings separately, utilizing community centers and multipurpose rooms in each dong’s resident center to improve accessibility for residents of related areas.
The land unit plan reorganization draft to be disclosed this time will be finalized after public inspection and opinion collection, followed by related reviews in the second half of this year.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, said, “Significant changes are underway in the Nowon area, including reconstruction system improvements achieved together with residents and Seoul City's plan for the Great Northern Seoul Era.” He added, “Reconstruction and redevelopment are the most important issues affecting residents' quality of life, so we will continue to support these projects to proceed swiftly.”
